Natural Perfumery Workshop —Safety Guidelines

Please read before beginning your blend.

🧴 Handling Oils

  • Use only the designated pipette at each oil station.
  • Do NOT reuse or mix pipettes between oils — this contaminates the entire batch.
  • Do NOT apply undiluted oils directly to your skin.
  • Only apply your fragrance to your skin AFTER you have properly blended it into the provided carrier oil base.

💧 Drop Limit

  • Do not exceed 15 total drops of fragrance oils per blend.
    Using too much can cause skin irritation and overpower your scent.
  • For inspiration, follow the provided recipe guide to ensure safe, well-balanced blends.

🧼 Keep It Clean

  • Request help to clean up any spills right away or use the provided towels / wipes.
  • Wear gloves. Oils can be slippery and may stain.
  • Keep your bottle and pipette separate — do not share your tools.

⚠️ Health & Sensitivities

  • If you have any allergies, skin sensitivities, or are pregnant, please kindly refrain from participating. Some oils may not be suitable in certain cases & your health is #1!
  • Do not taste/ingest any oils. They are for fragrance purposes only.

✅ Additional Reminders

  • Avoid contact with eyes.
  • Wipe/wash hands after handling oils and wash hands before eating or touching your face.
  • Children must be supervised by their responsible guardian at all times.
  • Dispose of used supplies in the designated bin.
  • Note your natural fragrance recipe with your scent name and the date.

🧪 Aftercare

  • Let your finished blend sit for 24 hours to allow the scent to fully develop.
  • Shake well before each use.

This workshop involves handling essential oils, fragrance oils, and carrier oils for the purpose of creating a custom scent blend.

While these ingredients are pure, natural and cosmetic-grade, they may cause skin irritation or allergic reactions in some individuals.

 

By participating in the workshop, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

___ I understand that fragrance oils can cause skin sensitivity or allergic reactions. I will not apply undiluted oils directly to my skin, and I will follow all cleanliness and safety guidelines provided during the workshop.

___ I agree to use no more than 15 total drops of fragrance oil per final blend, as directed by the workshop leaders, to avoid overexposure or irritation. In case of any adverse reaction to any ingredient or finished blend, I will rinse off immediately and discontinue use.

___ I understand that my final blend may separate, change color slightly, or become cloudy or clear, which is all normal. I understand that I must shake well before each use.

___ I understand that exposure to heat and/or sunlight will reduce the life of my fragrance. I will store and use my final blend as directed and avoid contact with eyes & mouth.

___ I will wear gloves and use the designated pipette or dropper at each station. I will not cross-contaminate oils, tools, or ingredients.

___ I understand that for my own health and safety, Clairelle LLC does NOT recommend or advise participation if I have any allergies, sensitivities, pregnancy, or other relevant health concerns.

___ I understand that participation is voluntary and that I am responsible for my own actions and well-being during and after the workshop, including but not limited to washing my hands.

___ I release all event organizers, host venue, and all affiliated parties from any liability related to injury, allergic reaction, loss, or damages that may result from my participation.

___ I agree to supervise any children I bring and ensure they follow all safety instructions.
